From a young age, it was clear that I had a creative and curious mind. I would spend most of my time drawing my favorite cartoon characters. This creative and curious mindset remained with me as I got older. I attended Old Dominion University where I earned my B.F.A. in Drawing and Design in August of 2020. Unfortunately with the pandemic beginning, it would make it difficult to find a position in my field. However, I didn't let it discourage me and took the opportunity to learn a new skill. I discovered UX design during my job search and wanted to learn more about it. After researching UX design through google searches and youtube videos. I enrolled in General Assembly's UI/UX immersive program. This is where I learned the foundational basics of UX design, collaborated with a team of designers, and work with stakeholders. I chose to pursue UX design because it allowed designers to express themselves creatively, offered fulfillment by helping others, and most importantly offered a happy lifestyle.
